Cancellation Policy

Artistry in Hair – Service Agreement and Cancellation/Refund Policy Effective Date: May 6, 2026 This Service Agreement and Cancellation/Refund Policy ("Policy") governs all appointments and services provided by Artistry in Hair ("the Salon"). By booking an appointment, you ("the Client") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and expressly agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined herein. These terms are designed to protect the professional time of our stylists and ensure the continued availability of services for all clients. 1. Introduction: Booking Constitutes a Binding Agreement This Service Agreement and Cancellation/Refund Policy ("Policy") is a binding agreement between Artistry in Hair ("the Salon") and you ("the Client"). By booking an appointment (online or by phone), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy, and you agree that the terms below are reasonable and necessary to protect the Salon’s time, staffing, and appointment availability. 2. Cancellation/No-Show: Liquidated Damages for Lost Time The Salon requires a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours' notice for any cancellation or rescheduling. Timely Cancellation/Reschedule (48+ hours): No fee. Late Cancellation/Reschedule (<48 hours): You agree to pay Liquidated Damages equal to 50% of the total scheduled service price. No-Show / Late Arrival (15+ minutes): A "No-Show" includes failing to arrive for the scheduled appointment, or arriving more than fifteen (15) minutes late, without prior notification and confirmation from the Salon that the appointment can still be honored. You agree to pay Liquidated Damages equal to 100% of the total scheduled service price. Reasonableness / Not a Penalty: You acknowledge that when an appointment is cancelled late or missed, the Salon suffers real losses that are difficult to precisely calculate in advance (including lost appointment time that cannot reliably be rebooked, staffing costs, and lost opportunities to serve other clients). You agree these Liquidated Damages are a reasonable estimate of the Salon’s anticipated losses and are not a penalty. Appointment Forfeiture: If you arrive 15+ minutes late, the Salon may need to forfeit the appointment to avoid impacting subsequent clients; if forfeited, the 100% Liquidated Damages no-show fee applies. 3. Refunds/Adjustments: Final Sale; 48-Hour Notice for Adjustments Final Sale / Non-Refundable Services: All services are Final Sale and *non-refundable, including (without limitation) retail, haircuts, color services, styling, and specialized treatments. Adjustments (48-hour notice required): If you are dissatisfied with a service outcome, you must notify the Salon within forty - eight (48) hours of the original appointment time to request an adjustment. If timely requested and consistent with the original consultation/goal, the Salon may offer an adjustment at no additional charge, in the Salon’s discretion. Requests made after 48 hours, or requests that constitute a change in the original service goal, will be charged at standard rates. 4. Life-Altering Circumstances (Discretionary Exceptions) Artistry in Hair understands that emergencies and serious illnesses occur. Exceptions to this Policy for life-altering or extraordinary circumstances are made solely at the absolute discretion of the Salon management on a case-by-case basis. To request an exception, Clients must contact Janelle Clark as soon as possible. 5. Dispute Waiver & Authorization: Card-on-File Authorization; No Bank Disputes for These Fees Card on File Required: Upon booking (online through GlossGenius or by phone), you must provide a valid credit/debit card to secure the reservation. Authorization to Charge: By booking, you expressly authorize Artistry in Hair to charge your card on file for (a) the services provided, and (b) any applicable Liquidated Damages for late cancellation/rescheduling or no-show/late arrival as described in Section 2, and you agree that no additional signature is required to process those charges. Agreement Not to Dispute These Fees: Because these charges are contractually agreed-upon Liquidated Damages and/or agreed service charges, you agree not to initiate or pursue a chargeback, payment dispute, or reversal with your bank or card issuer for (i) late cancellation fees, (ii) no-show/late-arrival fees, or (iii) any charge properly processed under this Policy. Initiating a chargeback or dispute for these agreed charges is a material breach of this Agreement. 6. Severability If any provision of this Policy is found to be unenforceable or invalid under any applicable law, such unenforceability or invalidity shall not render this Policy unenforceable or invalid as a whole, and such provisions shall be deleted without affecting the remaining provisions herein. *** By proceeding with your booking at Artistry in Hair, you hereby certify that you have read and agreed to the Iron-Clad Cancellation & Refund Policy above.**
